Description:

Lustre is a puzzle game that is simple enough for anyone to play, but offers continuing challenges to experienced players.

The goal in Lustre is to earn as much money as possible before the game ends. The player earns money by making gems of varying sizes and value. Gems are created by tapping on stones that fall onto the screen. By tapping on several adjacent stones of the same color, the player creates larger and more valuable gems. The best scoring is achieved by arranging the stones in such a manner that a single tap creates the biggest possible gem.

Every time the player creates a gem, more stones fall from above. If the play area overflows such that the next stones are blocked from falling, the screen clears and the player loses a life. Top earnings are submitted to Open Feint and are available for viewing on Facebook as well as the game's local Leader Board screen. Personal records are available from the local Top Earnings screen.

Game play in Lustre is enhanced by engaging and visually exciting spells that can be used to help the player overcome challenges. Some spells help the player to arrange stones to build bigger gems while others help the player out of danger by clearing large swathes of stones from the screen. A explosion of creative play possibilities are realized by combining advanced spells in new ways.

The treasure chest unlocking mechanism enhances Lustre's tactical depth and originality in the genre. By removing the displayed number of stones adjacent to a treasure chest, the chest opens and the player is rewarded with money, a spell crest, or an extra life.

In Lustre, the player chooses from one of four unique areas to play. Each successive area becomes playable after earning a certain amount of money in the preceeding area. Each area has its own theme, graphics, music, and spells. Each area places new and different demands on the player's skills. Winning each area is about thinking differently than before.
