Gameplay

The player controls a monkey running in the jungle. As the game begins, the monkey starts running. It then proceeds to run forward automatically. The speed can be controlled by the player. The controls the player has over the character is through swipe, which makes it jump; either from platform to platform or over obstacles. Missing a jump to another platform will cause it to fall into the dead.

Unlike many other platform games which have predesigned stages and can be played to completion, the landscape of Run Monkey Run procedurally generated and endless. If the player after jumping sees an obstacle and knows that it is dead ahead then he can shake the device to double jump. The monkey has a slow run, if the player wants to accelerate he has to click the cross button given which would accelerate the speed for a limited time.

The objective of the game is to achieve the highest score, measured in meters per run. Some version of the game feature online leaderboards, allowing players to compete for games ranking.
