Eyesbot Stream Video From Your Ios Device To Your Browser 2.1
Screen Shots:
Description:
EyesBot enables you to view your iOS device's video camera from a browser on the same network as the iOS device. This means if you want to see what is making a bump in the night downstairs while you are upstairs or watch your kids in the back yard with your iOS device, you can. You can also take photos using the browser interface, and adjust the frame rate to save battery power or improve video quality. It also has motion detection functionality that can sound an alarm on your browser if it detects motion.
A short demonstration video of EyesBot is available at http://www.eyesbot.com/gettingstarted
It is designed to only stream when on a WiFi network, like a typical home network, rather than cellular networks (to save bandwidth). It only works when both the iOS device and the browser are on the same network, unless you have exposed your iOS devices IP address and port number to external traffic. You can read about how to do this at: http://www.eyesbot.com/remote
The typical use case is to change the general setting on an iPod or iPad to "Autolock: never" so that you can leave it running overnight, then set the framerate to something low, like 1 per second. Then leave your iOS device downstairs pointed at a door or whatever you want to monitor and turn the motion detection on using the browser interface. If you then need to see what your iOS device is pointed at, you can use the browser interface and turn the frame rate up to improve the video quality.
